Rodney Ferguson, Ph.D., Chairman of the Board, Anesiva, Inc., Managing Partner, Panorama Capital

Rodney A. Ferguson, Ph.D. has been a member of Anesiva’s board of directors since November 2000 and chairman of the board since August 2002. Dr. Ferguson is a managing director at Panorama Capital, a U.S. venture capital firm, where he is responsible for life science investments, and was previously a managing director in the San Francisco office of J.P. Morgan Partners, a global private equity firm, where he was co-head of the Life Science and Healthcare Infrastructure group, responsible for all healthcare investments. From 1999 to 2000, Dr. Ferguson was a general partner at InterWest Partners, a venture capital firm, where he focused on investments in medical technology. From 1988 to 1999, Dr. Ferguson held a variety of positions at Genentech, Inc., including senior corporate counsel and senior director of business and corporate development. Dr. Ferguson is a member of the board of directors of several private life science companies. Dr. Ferguson received a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the State University of New York, Buffalo and a J.D. from Northwestern University.
